Scoop Six

What is the Scoop Six ?

A relatively new type of bet introduced by The Tote.

The Scoop6 Jackpot is a horse racing bet which runs each Saturday.

The objective is to pick the winner of each of 6 nominated races - if you get them all right you win big!

Scoop 6 Jackpotscan vary significantly especially if there is a rollover because of no winners the previous week, but in 2003 the average was £78k. Theres also a consolation prize if your selections place in every race - typically this pays out £350.

Obviously picking all 6 winners out of 6 is not to easy so in practice many people have multiple bets giving them more than one selection in some races which while increasing your chances also increases the cost massively. For example to just pick 2 horses in each race would mean 64 bets - at £2 each thats quite a bit of money.

It is similar to the Jackpot in that you have to pick the winner of six races. It differs by the fact that covers six races. The races may come from more than one racecourse. You can also win if all your selections are placed.
