If you're not familiar with horseball, it's been described as a cross between rugby and netball on horseback, and is a growing sport in the UK.  The game improves balance and confidence between the horse and the rider as it involves sudden spurts, rapid stops, half turns and acceleration.

The rules of the game are designed to make it as safe as possible for both the horse and rider and are enforced by a referees.

Despite the speed and physical nature of the game it is fun to play and it is safe.
